The Muncie FR6Q power take-off addresses the problem of excessive gear rattle by eliminating all backlash between the FR6Q and the transmission’s PTO drive gear. This is accomplished by a patent-pending spring-loaded rocker that contains the input gear. Internal backlash is controlled due to the way in which the rocker pivots on the idler shaft in the PTO. This allows the entire assembly to self-adjust, creating a very simple installation.
